Pet Parade

The Pet Parade offers pet Boston Terriers and their handlers an opportunity for fun and confidence building for your Boston Terrier, as an informal pageant similar to conformation showing, in a real show ring (the same used earlier in the day for the formal conformation showing.

Applicable to both the Rescue and Pet Parades:

Both Parades are intended to invite those who already love the Boston Terrier breed, into the world of dog shows, giving you the opportunity to show off your wonderful companion, and for your Boston Terrier to have a great time and socialize. All entries must be purebred Boston Terriers. We realize that with some rescues, or adopted dogs, this may be only to the best of your ability to determine.

All entries receive a ribbon if your entry is received by the closing date. All paid entries receive a free Associate Membership in our club!

No prior experience showing dogs is needed to enter. The parades are for informal fun! Instructions will be sent to you with your confirmation of entry, and you will be guided at the show.

Boston Terriers are very smart – they can tell that they are being admired; that they and their kind are held in high regard is obvious to them at a show. This is a great confidence builder!

Please feel free to have fun with this – we welcome (but don’t require) Boston Terriers in halloween costumes. Junior handlers are also welcome. If you choose, you may also send us a comment / blurb about your Boston Terrier that we will read as you parade in the ring. You may take pictures or video. Its a great way to build happy family memories!

Spectators WITHOUT their dogs may attend free of charge. The AKC does not allow any dog that is not entered in an event to come on to the fairgrounds. You may ONLY attend with your Boston Terrier if that Boston Terrier is entered in our event.

Entry fee per dog per Parade is: $15.00 (fifteen dollars).

If a dog is both a rescue and a pet, that dog may be entered in both Parades.

AKC rules do not allow us to accept entries from any dog that is not a Boston Terrier. We realize that for Rescue Boston Terriers – whether the dog is 100% pure bred, may only be to the best of your ability to judge. All dogs MUST be at least 6 months old, have a clean bill of health, and be up to date on all vaccinations. Any Club member working the show may refuse to allow any Pet Parade dog to particpate if it appears not to meet these requirements, or for any or no reason given. By submitting this entry form you acknowledge that you understand these terms and agree to hold The Golden Gate Boston Terrier Club, Inc., and its membership, Officiers, and Board of Directors harmless and not liable for any real or perceived loss or damage while attending our show.

Thank you! Hope to see you there!

We host a monthly social in Berkeley. While Golden Gate Boston Terrier Central “owns” this social, it is held in association with the Golden Gate Boston Terrer Club, an AKC licensed kennel club, with the region of “The Greater San Francisco Bay Area”. As such, access to the kennel club and its members for advice, information about dog shows, inquiries about kennel club membership, etc. is also provided at the socials. Please sign up as a group member to join our social group, and to receive our email notices for the greater San Francisco Bay Area Boston Terrier Events and News. Our Socials are intended to provide fun play and socialization for Boston Terriers.
